Captain Rebecca Beebe
Captain Rebecca R Beebe was born in Knoxville, Tennessee in 1995. She grew up in Knoxville, RN and was a 2014 graduate of Rivers Edge Christian High School.
She was commissioned as an Army Nurse Corps Officer out of the University of Tennessee Chattanooga in December 2019. In January of 2020, Captain Beebe passed her Nurse Clinical Licensure Exam (NCLEX) and attended Basic Officer Leader Course that March in San Antonio, TX at Ft. Sam Houston.
In May of 2020, Captain Beebe started her first assignment as a medical-surgical and cardiac nurse at William Beaumont Army Medical Center at Ft. Bliss, TX. There she worked with COVID patients in many different specialties. She also helped move the entire facility into the newly built hospital across town. In April of 2021, Captain Beebe was deployed on a COVID mission to Atlanta, GA where she helped set up the largest vaccination site in the nation. In August of 2021, Captain Beebe deployed with 1st Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division, Charlie Company as an augmented medical asset for the Immediate Response Force to Afghanistan. In November 2021, Captain Beebe was attached to 131st Feild Hosptial at Ft. Bliss, TX as part of the Medical Augmentation Program (MAP). In January 2022, Captain Beebe deployed with 131st Feild Hospital to Detroit, Michigan to serve at a local civilian hospital to assist in pandemic medical operations. Later that year, in June 2022, Captain Beebe became the interim Clinical Nurse Officer in Charge (OIC) of the 24-bed inpatient Mother Baby Unit at William Beaumont Army Medical Center. Captain Beebe PCS to Fort Bragg, NC in November of 2022 and became a Nurse Case Manager at the largest Soldier Recovery Unity (SRU) in the DoD. In August 2024, Captain Beebe was able to attend the Army’s 5-month Trauma and Critical Care Nursing Course in San Antonio, TX where she became a certified critical care nurse (66S). Captain Beebe currently serves at the University of Tennessee as an Assistant Professor of Military Science.
